Meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

The Community Outreach Emergency Preparedness Team promotes community readiness through public education and grant distribution:

    • Organizes the Countywide Shelter in Place Drill on the first Wednesday of November.
    • Plans CAER’s participation in many community events to promote emergency preparedness and Shelter-in-Place education. CAER mascot Wally Wise Guy frequently makes appearances at these events.
    • Offers grants of up to $2,000 each year to groups and organizations planning emergency drills.
